About us

United by Fate is a 3-night-a-week raiding guild on EU Arathor (connected realms: Hellfire, Kilrogg, Nagrand, Runetotem).

Founded in 2009 during the end of TBC on Blade's Edge, the guild has since moved through Kul'Tiras and settled on Arathor during the MoP pre-patch. Over the years, UBF has continued to grow and expand its reach across World of Warcraft.

Our roster is primarily Scandinavian and British, though we have members from across Europe and beyond.

What you can expect from us

We're a community with a passion for the game. We don't just raid together - we play together outside of raids too, whether that's alt runs, dungeons, achievement hunting, or the occasional PvP.

That said, we take our raid time seriously. We expect a high level of play from our raiders, but the atmosphere is relaxed. Think more playground than boot camp.

We also provide raiders with free flasks, potions, enchants, and gems (raid loot only for enchants and gems).

What we expect from you

We expect our raiders to play at a high level, be consistent, and stay flexible. Know your class and be open to swapping specs when it benefits the raid. Playing multiple roles is a plus but not required.

• Be 18+
• Have Discord
• Keep up to date with guild news and announcements
• Maintain at least 2 out of 3 raid nights attendance
• Come prepared - know the fights, have your gear enchanted and gemmed
• Be open to constructive feedback

Raid schedule

All times are server time (CET/CEST). Invites go out at 20:45 and we aim to pull the first boss at 21:00. There is one 10-minute break roughly halfway through the night.

If you can't make a raid or will be late, let an officer know - preferably a day in advance.

Loot Distribution

We use RCLootCouncil to distribute loot. It's not a loot council - the addon simply gives us more flexibility than Blizzard's default system. The options are:

• Need: Major upgrades and BiS items (trinkets, tier pieces)
• Minor: Small ilvl upgrades or minor stat improvements
• Offspec/Alt: Offspec or alt gear - mains and main specs always get priority
• Transmog: The true endgame, but lowest priority since it doesn't help progression
• Pass: Default if you don't need the item

BoEs are personal loot - do with them as you please. For raid recipes, only roll if you have the profession skill to craft the max rank.

Recruitment

New recruits are trialled for 1-4 weeks depending on how quickly we can evaluate performance. If there are no concerns, it's unlikely to last more than a week.

Trials are encouraged to reach out to an officer with any questions during their trial period.
